Here is a real mystery antique that has puzzled many collectors. The following criteria are true:

It's too small to be a snuff box.

No one seems to know what language the scrimshaw is.

What is the artist trying to say with the image of the woman cooking
on 2 cauldrons? The hearts with wings?

The box is bone the lid is ivory.
